چکیده

Background The clinical course of adult-onset Still’s disease (AoSD) is highly variable, ranging from subtle constitutional symptoms to life-threatening complications such as macrophage activation syndrome. Therefore, it interest whether baseline activity in AoSD predicts the course, i.e. and serological remission. Objectives aim this study was compare two instruments measure activity, Pouchot-Score Still-Activity-Score (SAS), at predict later remission disease. We also assessed serum levels calprotectin (S100A8/A9) are associated with measured by SAS follow up. Methods diagnosed according Yamaguchi criteria. In all patients Still-Activity Score (SAS) were score follow-up. Clinical defined absence (i.e. fever arthralgia), while normalization Ferritin, IL-18 S100A8/A9 (calprotectin) levels. To investigate prediction accuracy for remission, a calculation areas under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves performed. Results 42 (19 males/23 females; mean+/-SD age:41+/-17 years) assessed. Baseline 5.3 +/- 1.6, 5.7 1.0. With treatment AoSD, decreased reaching mean 2.2 1.8 after up time 48 90 months. Glucocorticoids used 33%, methotrexate 21%, IL-1 inhibitors 33% IL-6 29% patients. 62% (N=26) obtained 36% (N=15) Neither (0.57) nor (0.51) predicted AoSD. Furthermore, not (0.62) or (0.56) (Figure 1). respect during closely (r = 0.54, p < 0.0003) 2). Conclusion does Serum level related phase. Figure 1. ROC 2. Effect of Ultrasound Therapy on Adult-Onset Still\'s Disease: A Case study

Adult-Onset Still's Disease (AOSD) is a rare systemic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology and pathogenesis. AOSD presents in 5% to 10% of patients as Fever of Unknown Origin (FUO) accompanied by systemic manifestations. We reported a compelling case of a 39-year-old African male presenting one-month FUO along with skin rash, sore throat, and arthralgia. After an extensive workup, potential...

Bone mineral density loss in postmenopausal onset rheumatoid arthritis is not greater than premenopausal onset disease

Background: Postmenopausal onset rheumatoid arthritis (post-RA) is expected to have greater bone mineral density (BMD) loss than premenopauasal onset (pre-RA) due to estrogen deficiency and aging. This study aimed to compare the BMD status of the two RA groups with age-matched non-RA controls.   Methods: The patients with RA on follow-up examination were stratified according to age of onset. ...

Adult-Onset Still Disease

We conducted a retrospective observational study to describe a cohort and identify the prognostic factors in adult-onset Still disease (AOSD). Patients enrolled in this retrospective chart review fulfilled either Yamaguchi or Fautrel criteria. Candidate variables were analyzed with logistic unadjusted and adjusted regression models. Fifty-seven patients were seen in the internal medicine (75%) ...

Adult-Onset Still Disease (AOSD).

Adult-onset Still disease (AOSD) is an uncommon clinical entity that predominantly affects young adults. One of the most common presentations of the disease is fever of unknown origin. Early diagnosis can be difficult because fever of unknown origin is more commonly seen with other conditions such as malignancy or infection. Ambiguity in presentation and lack of serologic markers make diagnosis...
